Manager – Health Posts (1), Rohingya Response

The role:

The Manager- Health Posts will be responsible for ensuring provision of high quality standard clinical care services at the SCI health Posts (HPs). He/she will supervise the clinical team and ensure adherence to clinical protocols. The scope of services at health facility level includes case management of communicable and non-communicable diseases; child health, including vaccinations and neonatal health; Reproductive Health; MHPSS; integration of Infant and Young Child Feeding in Emergencies and Nutrition screening as required and as per standard protocols.

This position will lead the technical oversight of the health facilities and support the clinical management of Primary Health Care at the Health Posts. S/he will also accountable for reviewing and revising clinical guidelines; oversight of all clinical cases and referrals. With a direct reporting to Senior Programme Manager- Health and dotted line to the Technical Advisor Health, the position will also be responsible for capacity building and mentoring of national staff. S/he will also do the necessary coordination with Operations team as well as Medical Logistics for smooth and quality implementation of current health posts’ activities.

This position has line management responsibility and mainly focus on supportive supervision as well as on the job training instead of providing direct patient care. This role will also involve representation of the organization on occasions. Considering the emergency nature of the program the position expects to work outside the normal role profile.

Qualifications and experience:

Medical Graduate (MBBS degree) with at least 5 years’ experience of delivering health programs along with minimum 3 years’ management experience. Experience of working in humanitarian settings will add value
Demonstrated experience of establishing health programs including substantial period of Clinical experience
Proven track record of managing clinical team along with the ability to lead, motivate and build the capacity of staff
Experience of setting up and operating clinical health services
Experience in implementation of EPI/vaccination program as well as pediatrics and Infectious disease control.
Good understanding on the essential principles and reality of emergency supply chain operations; excellent interpersonal communication and coordination skill
Ability to work in a challenging environment, maintain a positive team dynamic, strong interpersonal communication and coordination skills with excellent written and spoken English including clinical terminology,
Ability to work under pressure, be flexible in challenging situation and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) are other pre-requisites
Contract length: 12 months with possibility of extension
